Despite its slim profile and light 2.08kg weight, the Toughbook FZ-55 is designed to perform in difficult outdoor conditions. The unit is certified MIL-STD-810H with capabilities including 91cm drops, sand, dust, shock, high and low temperatures and humidity. It also has an IP53 certification meaning it can cope with light sprays of water even at a 60-degree angle. The keyboard is spill resistant and, if needed, can be easily replaced with a new one. The magnesium alloy design has a built-in handle making it easily portable.
With the addition of a rugged Fischer USB port, there is a smooth operation of the USB connection between the laptop and the USB device you are connecting to.
Compatible With CF-54 Vehicle and Desktop Docks
The good news if you’re upgrading from the CF-54 is that the Toughbook FZ55 is backwards compatible so there’s no need to update any vehicle or desktop docks and chargers, they will all still work.
