An upgrade from the iPad Mini 10.2” model with its 8MP camera, the iPad Air offers a 12MP camera, a ƒ/1.8 aperture and five-element lens. The Hybrid IR filter, backside illumination sensor, live photos with stabilisation, autofocus and tap to focus with Focus Pixels are all handy features. Wide colour capture for photos and Live Photos are both available and take panoramas up to 63MP.
Take videos with 4K video recording at 24 fps, 25 fps, 30 fps and 60 fps. 1080p HD video recording is also available at 25 fps, 30 fps, or 60 fps. The FaceTime HD Camera feature takes 7MP photos with a ƒ/2.4 aperture. The 1080p HD video recording is at 60 fps.

Sensors include Touch ID, three‐axis gyro, accelerometer, barometer and ambient light sensor. Touch ID allows you to unlock your iPad, secure personal data with apps and make purchases.
