The unit’s operating system is the Android 11 as standard, but is upgradeable to Android 14. Android’s built-in support means training is virtually eliminated and provides superior futureproofing.
Mobility DNA means users get more value from their mobile computer by adding functionality and simplifying deployment and management of mobile devices. Capturing up to 100 barcodes in a single scan and enabling faster data entry with a customised soft keyboard are just two of the features. Over 100 enterprise features are available with Mobile Extensions (Mx) from enhanced security to manageability.
Convert the mobile device into a workstation by dropping it into a workstation cradle. You can then connect the monitor, keyboard, mouse printer and more with less energy required than a desktop computer.
The 5-inch colour HD (1280 x 720) display is protected by Corning® Gorilla® Glass and hasLED backlight with multi-touch Capacitive Touch Panel.
The rear camera is 13MP and optional front camera is 5MP. 1D/2D image scanning is available with the SE4710, offering fast barcode capture, while the SE4100 is suitable for light to moderate scanning. For contactless transactions, the TC26 can read tickets, gift cards, loyalty cards, boarding passes and more stored in Apple or Google wallets. Light, motion and proximity sensors make the TC26 a pleasure to use.
TC26 Portability
Zebra designed the TC26 rugged phone to be carried around all shifts and be operated with one hand. It’s lightweight and the design means it fits comfortably in the hand. With the extended battery, the unit is just 158mm in length, 79mm in width and 17.3mm in depth, while weighing just 269 grams.
While the standard battery will last the distance of more than a shift, the extended battery is ideal for long and even double shifts.
For wireless connections, the TC26 can use WiFi, cellular, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC. This device can also access the WWAN, WLAN, WPAN, USB 2.0 hi-speed (host and client) networks.
Optional Push-to-Talk (PTT) Express Mobility DNA means the device can be used as a walkie-talkie inside the building. For those organisations that need walkie-talkie style access inside and outside the building, there’s the optional Workforce Connect Push-to-Talk (PTT) Pro Mobility DNA. The optional Workforce Connect Voice turns the TC26 into fully featured PBX handsets with a custom interface.
Built Tough
The operating temperature range of the TC26 is -10°C to 50°C, while operating humidity range is 5-95% non-condensing.
